Now Hiring an Assistant Manager for a Water Company in Pace, FL.

Position Summary

The Assistant Manager assists in all aspects of the administration and management of the organization. Upper-level management responsibilities include coordination, communication, and enforcement of Company and Department processes, procedures, and standards and the promotion of Company culture and core values. They are responsible for contributing towards a positive and collaborative working environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position.
• Serves as General Manager in their absence
• Oversight of capital improvement projects to include planning, budgeting, design, and construction
• Supervise management and engineering staff
• Assist in budget preparation
• Customer service and problem resolution with public and staff
• Attend monthly Board of Director meetings
• Attend public meetings to represent the organization
• Represents the organization at various meetings, conferences, etc.
• Prepare and present monthly reports on engineering projects and developments
• Working knowledge of the principles and practices applied to the organization, management, administration, and capital projects management of a multi-function utility service
• Plan, assign, manage and review the work of others to obtain full performance and compliance with established codes and regulatory standards
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers, as well as governing and appointed authorities
• Clearly communicate information both verbally, in writing, and in presentations
• Understand and follow both written and oral instructions
• Use word processing and spreadsheet applications
• Operate basic office equipment (e.g. computers, printers, copy machines, telephone systems, and facsimile machines)
• Perform basic mathematical functions
• Read, update, and maintain various records
• Effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Ascertain priorities and meet deadlines/objectives
• Exercise sound judgment and discretion in decision-making and all phases of responsibilities
• Performs related duties as directed

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering, or another related field, Five (5) years experience in a related field, three (3) of which must have been at a supervisory level Licenses, Certifications or Registrations Valid Driver’s License (must be approved as an insurable driver by the insurance carrier)

Physical Demands
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to operate basic office or operations equipment
• Use of close vision for computer work, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus
• Physically demanding work will typically involve some combination of standing, walking, lifting, pulling, stooping, crouching, bending/kneeling, reaching, pushing, crawling, climbing, balancing, and repetitive motions
• Light to moderate lifting is required (up to 50 pounds)
